So I have completely poo’d my finances for this Armageddon. Thanks to going to Melbourne courtesy of Bill and Adele who run Armageddon, and with my association with M, my flights, accommodation and entry into Melbourne are taken care of.

However everything else is a little on the skint side. I will be able to swing, the basics, but there will be no autographs, photo’s or anything of that nature for me this time round.

The only thing that I have booked is a Seth Green photo op. Yes the fan girl in me is squeeing right now. This man has been in some of my favourite movies and tv programmes..and yeah I don’t mind Robot Chicken either.

Unfortunately he is not signing anything other than Robot Chicken stuff, but that is coolio. I have both dvds of the Robot Chicken Star Wars and Episode II. 

It’s getting to the point now that I am working at Armageddon that my fangirl collector side of me is no longer fussed with getting autographs and such. Which is weird, because I was a bit sad and woobie because I missed out on the extra panels that Bill now runs for the Silver and Gold pass holders. These panels seem to be more relaxed and fun, than the big auditorium Q and A’s.

So life has been a bit up and down. Been very grumpy some days, forgetful the next. I have been having nightmares as well, and waking up with a sense of loss and being unfulfilled. Most times people, even strangers are dying in my dreams. Usually in mass accidents, or apocalyptic tragedies.    A couple of times I have woken, crying, or crying out. Not a good thing I think.

Something is not right emotionally and physically. I am due to see my doctor anyway, so I will talk to her about it.

I have an event coming up on Saturday for the SCA.  I am a bit disappointed with the turn out. But it is a new kind of event, and it is adults only. In a Barony that is full of families, I have questioned myself is organising an event for adults or over 12’s, although variety is the spice of life.

So the event if I haven’t mentioned here before is a “gambling” event. Of course we will only be using “funny” money. We will be playing “period” games which will be fun. Dice, and cards, and some board games. We are also introducing a “new” silly game, which should be hi-lar-ri-ous!! 

P is cooking the food, and he has organised a lovely, rustic, hearty supper. 

I am hoping that the weather clears, as there is a Heavy Weapons Tournament in Cornwall Park on Saturday. Which most of the group will go and watch. I am debating on going or not.

Also I won tickets to an Air NZ staff viewing of fashion week. It is at the omg-a-clock of 9am. But I am really looking forward to it. I think it is funny that the recession has hit Fashion Week in regards to the goodie bags. Last years goodie bags were the mint, and had so much cool stuff. This year..I think we wont have a good bag at all. :)P

Still working on the Raven costume. It is coming along. I really like S’s sewing machine that I am using at the moment. So easy and simple to use. 

I think I will wear GG Leia on Saturday in Melbourne, and not sure what I will wear to the masquerade. Probably Eowyn, with a white feather mask. Then Raven on the Sunday.

Then in Auckland, I will wear Raven for the Cosplay contest. Might as well.

This three day weekend is going to go so fast. 

 Saturday – Fashion Show, Tournament, Event.

Sunday – hanging out with Sethra in the morning, Sewing Sunday, and council meeting.

Monday – working on costume, and going to K to return all the gear that I have for the event, and doing a stock take..

Then back to work on the Tuesday…yep it’s going to be a busy three days.

• Darth Talon - yep the leather bikini, this is one of the costumes that I have looked at and gone...wow love this, but because I don't feel "skinny" enough I have been putting it off.  I am no longer going to do that.
• Raven - Teen Titans New World version - this has been on the list for awhile, and I keep on changing which version.  But this WILL be done by Melbourne Armageddon
• Storm - not sure which version but again another that I have put off, because of the "tight" nature of her costume.
• Zoe - Firefly version - I have most of the bits to construct and sew this.
• Uhura - Star Trek TOS version - have some lovely wool do this, and an original pattern to put this together.  Even though the original was done in velor and then a lovely (ugh) polyester...hahah
• GG Leia version - Silver Hair and a collar like Elvis - so rock-n-rolla  I might just do a fem version of elvis/leia...lol
• 16th century venetian cortesan dress - chopins and the "horn" hair style - by May.... then will wear in July...
• Bergamo Italian mans costume - pink puffy pants, black jerkin - white sleeves with pink and gold ribbon - sooooo masculine..

• Patrick Swayze passed away yesterday....I still think he was the hottest thing in Dirty Dancing, I had a crush on him as a teen.  He fought so valiantly against the cancer.  My thoughts go out to his family.

• Watched the VMA's Kanye West was such a dooche.  To take over the stage while Taylor Swift is basking in the glow of her first ever win at the VMA's...what a dork!!

• Have a headache, and wish I wasn't at work. 

• Drinking V hoping it will help

• Went and saw UP last night and cried.  Such a lovely movie, really touching and heart-warming.

• Really need to see District 9 before it departs from the cinemas.

• I have a new costume list for next year that I am going to stick with.  Really truly I am. :P
